Submission options
Case reports, case series, observational studies (cohort and case-control studies), randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. Accepted abstracts will be presented as either oral or poster presentations.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS
These sessions aim to demonstrate high-quality research practices. Selected papers should be experimental, noteworthy for scientific merit, and valuable for illustrating the research process.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS
Posters will be displayed in the poster area for one-on-one discussion using both narrative and visual materials to share study objectives, methods, results, and conclusion. Visuals like photos, charts, and diagrams are essential. The Presenting Author should be available at scheduled times to answer questions and discuss them with attendees.

General Rules

Abstracts may be submitted for either oral or poster presentations. The Congress Scientific Committee will review abstracts to determine whether to be accepted as oral or poster presentation. They will respect the authors' preference but reserve the right to assign the category and make the final decision. Submitted abstracts can be modified before the submission deadline.

Abstract Topics: Abstracts must be allocated to a specific topic. You will need to select the topic most suited to your abstract from this list.

Research study abstracts must be structured to summarize the research objectives, design, results, and conclusion. Objectives should contain the background and purpose of the study. Design section should explain key methods, procedures, interventions, and any controls in the study - allowing the reader to infer limitations of the data.

Case report abstracts must be structured in the following four categories: Case Diagnosis, Case Description, Discussion, and Conclusion. Case Reports and series cases can be presented only as posters.

Abstracts containing statements such as ‘data to be presented’ or ‘the significance of the findings will be discussed’ are not acceptable. Conclusions should explain the meaning and importance of the results, and perhaps state any new questions identified.

Submitting An Abstract

Before embarking to submit your abstract, we recommend reading the sections below to better understand the process and requirements for a successful submission.

Deadline
The abstract submission portal is open from Wednesday, October 15 2025, thru 23:59 ET (UTC -5) on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Requirements:
1.  Abstract Title: There should be no abbreviations in the title except widely used terms such as EEG, EMG, MRI). Do not use more than 135 characters, including spaces, in the title.
2.  Authors name: Use format of First name, middle name & last name and all authors separate affiliation (Department (if applicable), Institution, city, and country name).
3.  Presenting author: Include name, address, phone numbers, and e-mail address.
4.  Abstract: Do not exceed 200 words. Abstracts should adhere to the following format: Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion, Significance.
5.  Abstracts are to be submitted in English.
6.  Abbreviations should only be used when they improve clarity and comprehension. Any non-standard abbreviations must be defined upon first appearance. Consistent use of abbreviations is required throughout the abstract.

Submitter/Presenter
The submitter does not have to be the presenter and can select any author to be the Presenting Author.  However, only the presenting author will receive notifications and is responsible for the oral presentation and/or poster upload. The submitter and co-authors will NOT receive any notifications and will NOT be able to upload the poster or present the abstract. The submitter must get permission from co-authors and disclose any direct or indirect relationships that could bias the research or its outcomes (conflict of interest).  By listing someone as an author, the submitter is stating that listed individuals agree to the work, and the submitter is responsible for ensuring they have approved the final version before submission.

Duplicate submissions
You must not submit the same abstract under more than one presentation format and/or email. The submission of duplicate abstracts or multiple email addresses will, unfortunately, lead to the immediate rejection of the abstract(s) involved. If a duplication is detected, the presenting author will be notified by email.

Edit your submission
If you have already submitted your abstract and wish to make changes, you can easily re-open and edit the submission until the portal is closed. Simply follow the link provided in the Abstract acceptance email from Fourwaves. Please save this email.

Proofreading
Do not exceed 200 words. Ensure your abstract is thoroughly proofread for spelling, grammatical, or scientific errors before submission. Abstracts are only accepted in English. Accepted abstracts will be published as submitted.

Abstract Publication

Accepted abstracts will be published in a supplementary issue of the “Clinical Neurophysiology journal" (CLINPH).

Examples of CLINPH accepted abstracts can be seen at https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/clinical-neurophysiology/vol/172/suppl/S
