Authors must choose one of topics below for every abstract they wish to submit. If an abstract fits into more than one topic, choose the most appropriate one.

Nurses abstracts: Nurses may submit their scientific work under this topic. Of all submitted abstracts, four will be invited to deliver an Abstract Oral Presentation during the 20th N-ECCO Network Meeting. All accepted nurses’ abstracts will be invited to exhibit their work as poster presentations. Additionally, out of all poster presentations the N-ECCO Committee will reward a prize to the best poster.
Abstract format
Title
Should be brief and in lower case except for acronyms, names, first letter and after colons. Please do not use commercial names, non-standard abbreviations or author names in the title.
Authors’ list
Do not mention academic degrees.
Structure
Abstracts should be structured in the following four sections:
- Background: indicate the purpose of the study
- Methods: describe pertinent experimental procedures
- Results: summarise the results of the research
- Conclusion: state the main conclusions
- References:
- References do NOT count towards the character count for the abstract
- It is advised to follow the AMA reference style
- It is advised to limit your references to a maximum of 4 entries
Length
Maximum length of 2,750 characters (INCLUDING spaces; excl. title & author block).
Content
- Please use English (UK) spelling.
- You can insert special characters (Greek or scientific characters) via the text editing bar or by copy-paste into the text box.
- Abbreviations may be used if standard or if spelled out and defined at the first use (put in parentheses immediately after the first mention of a term or phrase). Compounds should be mentioned with the generic name, in lower cases.
Images
- Abstracts may include graphics and pictures (max. 2 per abstract). Image format should be jpg or png.
- The max. size of an image is 1,5 MB and 800x800 pixels. Make sure that the resolution of the image is at least 300dpi.
- Tables should be added as an image.
- Captions & footnotes to images and tables should be included within the image
- Make sure to name your uploaded images in a unique way, e.g. family name of submitting author and key words of your study or research
- Only use the latin alphabet or numbers to name your images.
