Kidney Week 2026 : Important Dates

Submission Deadline

• Research abstracts and clinical case reports ("abstracts") must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. EDT (Eastern time) on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Abstracts may be edited and re-submitted until the deadline. Abstracts that are unpaid or have unresolved payment issues will not be considered. If the Submitter does not receive a payment confirmation email titled "Abstract Payment Confirmation," please check for it in spam/junk folders, then email kidneyweek@asn-online.org to confirm the abstract's submission status.

Changes

• Through May 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. EDT, submitted abstracts may be returned to draft, edited, and re-submitted by logging into the ASN abstract submission site. Because only the Submitter has access to the abstract, s/he will need to make any changes.
  • Between this date/time and May 20, 2026, for submitted abstracts needing MINIMAL changes, the Submitter or Presenting Author can email kidneyweek@asn-online.org with the abstract number in the subject line and the ASN Abstract Change Form attached.
  • After May 20, 2026, no changes will be allowed, including author updates.

Notifications

• ASN will email notifications to the Presenting Authors and Submitters of all research abstract, clinical case report, and informational poster submissions by 11:59 p.m. EDT on July 31, 2026.
• Please refer to Notification for more details.

Withdrawals

• The Presenting Author can request abstract withdrawal through June 22, 2026, by emailing kidneyweek@asn-online.org. Please note the abstract number in the email subject line and the Presenting Author's name in the email body. The $80 processing fee is nonrefundable. After June 22, withdrawal requests will be accepted on a case-by-case basis, but the abstract may still appear in meeting publications.

Informational Posters

• The informational poster submission period opens on June 3, 2026, and closes on July 1, 2026, 2:00 p.m. EDT.

Late-Breaking Abstracts

• The late-breaking abstracts submission period opens on July 8, 2026, and closes on September 2, 2026, 2:00 p.m. EDT.

Publication

• Abstracts accepted for oral presentations, posters, and publication will be included in the ASN abstract search tool, which will be posted online on October 2, 2026, and on the JASN website, available online in November.

Kidney Week 2026: Registration Overview

Kidney Week 2026 includes in-person programming: seven Early Programs and the Annual Meeting. Each Early Program and the Annual Meeting have separate registration fees and offer continuing education credits. For information on registration rates, programs, and inclusions, please see below.

• Seven Early Programs in Denver, CO (October 21): Advances in Research Conference on Kidney Targeting; Glomerular Diseases; Critical Care Nephrology; Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic Health (NEW); Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease; Onconephrology; Point-of-Care Ultrasound in Nephrology.
  
  All Early Programs will be offered in-person in Denver on October 21. There will be no advance on-demand content. All will have recorded presentations available after the meeting for up to three years. Each has a separate registration fee, and you may only register for one Early Program. Each offers continuing education credits (except the Advances in Research Conference). You must participate in-person in Denver for continuing education credits. Please check each Early Program listing for more information when available in June.
  
  
• Annual Meeting in Denver, CO (October 22-25): All plenaries, sessions, posters, and the scientific exposition will take place in-person in Denver. Educational content will be recorded and posted to view on-demand in mid to late November in the ASN Learning Center. This on-demand content will be available for up to three years and continue to be complimentary to meeting participants who obtain an access code. Access code information will be available in September.
