You may choose between four different abstract types:

> Short oral presentation
> Scientific poster presentation
> Educational poster presentation (1 image obligatory)
> Case Report (not eligible for educational prize)

Authors of the best oral abstracts will be invited to present their work within the scientific sessions. Abstracts that cannot be accepted for oral presentation will be invited to be presented as online scientific poster. Accepted scientific and educational poster abstracts will be presented in the ePoster gallery, which consists of a collection of digital posters.

Short oral presentation

The abstract should be separated in “Purpose/Objectives”, “Methods and materials”, “Result”, “Conclusion”. The body limit is 2.750 characters (including spaces). Authors of accepted oral abstracts will be invited for a presentation within the Scientific Oral Presentation Sessions. The presenter of an oral presentation has to be registered for the ESHNR 2026 Annual Meeting and Refresher Course.

Scientific poster presentation

The abstract should be separated in “Purpose/Objectives”, “Methods and materials”, “Result”, “Conclusion”. The body limit is 2.750 characters (including spaces). Authors of accepted scientific posters will be invited to upload their final poster to the ePoster gallery. The presenter of the poster has to be registered for the ESHNR 2026 Annual Meeting and Refresher Course.

Educational poster presentation (1 image obligatory)

The abstract should be separated in “Learning Objectives”, “Background”, “Imaging Findings and Procedure Details”, “Conclusion”. The body limit is 2.750 characters (including spaces).
Authors of accepted scientific posters will be invited to upload their final poster to the ePoster gallery. The presenter of the poster has to be registered for the ESHNR 2026 Annual Meeting and Refresher Course.

Case report (not eligible for educational prize)

The abstract should be separated in “Background”, “Imaging Findings and Procedure Details” and “Conclusion”. The body limit is 2.750 characters (including spaces).
Authors of accepted case reports will be invited to upload their final case report poster to the ePoster gallery. The presenter of the poster has to be registered for the ESHNR 2026 Annual Meeting and Refresher Course.

ESHNR and the local organising committee are delighted to welcome you to Budapest, Hungary, for the ESHNR 2026 Annual Meeting & Refresher Course.

The scientific programme will cover all major areas of head and neck radiology, including sinonasal disease, salivary gland imaging, skull base and temporal bone pathology, and oncologic imaging of the upper aerodigestive tract. A special focus of the 2026 programme will be on advanced AI, functional imaging techniques, and novel interventional approaches, as well as dental aspects with key topics such as TMJ and jaw lesions. Interactive casebased discussions and case presentations will enable radiologists and clinicians to translate scientific advances into everyday practice, addressing imaging challenges in complex facial and jaw regions.

We are pleased to continue our strong collaboration with our sister societies. Dedicated sessions with the American Society of Head & Neck Radiology (ASHNR) will bring perspectives from our American colleagues, while the European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR) will foster European collaboration and cross-border scientific exchange. The meeting will also feature scientific presentations, educational and refresher courses, and opportunities for both junior and senior radiologists to exchange knowledge and experiences. A closely integrated sponsors’ exhibition will showcase the latest imaging and treatment technologies that support innovation and excellence in patient care.
