It is my honour to invite you to attend the Asia-Pacific Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Association (APHIA) scientific meeting 2023, to be held from 13th - 16th November 2023 in Perth, Western Australia. This will be the first in person APHIA meeting since 2019 and promises an exciting and educational event.
The scientific Program will be both exciting and novel, with high-quality expert international and national speakers. The scientific program committee is already putting together a first-rate program, which will include the very latest advances and developments in the field of HLA and Immunogenetics, solid organ and bone marrow transplantation diagnostics and therapeutics, Tolerance and Infection Immunity.
Confirmed invited International speakers already include Robert Liwski (Dalhousie University, Canada) and Anat Tambur (North Western University, U.S.A). The meeting is being held sequentially after the International HLA summer school and therefore we are expecting excellent attendance, including by many international students and faculty. As always we will also continue our strength in student and early-career researcher development, with opportunities to be involved with the program and interact with fellow colleagues.
There will also be the opportunity to attend the Oxford Nanopore Technologies Real time sequencing Workshop with a live demonstration to be held prior to the Congress on Monday 13th November 2023 at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Perth is an exciting destination and the gateway to some of the most beautiful and interesting parts of Australia. The amazing Margaret River wine and coastal region is only 3 hours drive south from the city and to the North of Western Australia lies some of the most unspoilt and beautiful territory left on earth.
