Abstract Submission Guidelines

The SOHO scientific committee encourages all interested participants to attend the conference and to submit an abstract for publication in the Meeting Proceedings and for Poster Presentation. The SOHO Scientific Committee will evaluate the quality of submitted abstracts on the basis of the following criteria: novelty of the research, significance of the findings and clarity. The scientific committee is inviting abstracts to be submitted for publication, oral presentation and poster presentation at this international meeting in the following areas:

• Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
• Acute Myeloid Leukemia
• Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia
• Chronic Myeloid Leukemia
• Hodgkin Lymphoma
• Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma
• Multiple Myeloma
• Myelodysplastic Neoplasms

The committee seeks original papers that address scientific questions, demonstrate new research/developments or contain original scientific results specifically related to the treatment of patients with hematologic malignancies. Submitted abstracts must be limited to 350 words or less (abstract body) and represent original work, although previously published work may be used to fulfill this requirement. Submission of isolated case reports and hypotheses unsupported by data is discouraged. SOHO reserves the right to reject any abstract for failure to comply with publication guidelines. Questions regarding the submission process should be directed to the SOHO organizing committee via email to Melinda White.

All those accepted for abstract/poster presentation will receive a complimentary registration. Note that reimbursement for travel and hotel expenses is not provided.

Abstract submissions must be made electronically through the Online Submission Page and uploaded in Microsoft Word format. Do not include tables, illustrations, graphs or figures with the abstract. Note, the abstract submission deadline is June 1, 2024!

The twelfth annual meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology ( SOHO 2024 ) is scheduled for September 4-7, 2024 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. As a semi-hybrid event, SOHO 2024 offers both in-person and virtual participation.

Organized by its founders and world class committees, SOHO is the only worldwide society specific to the field of hematologic malignancies. The 2024 meeting promises to be a dynamic and informative event. SOHO is the premier meeting that focuses specifically on new advances and practical clinical applications in the field of hematologic malignancies. The speakers are a multidisciplinary group of internationally recognized experts that represent the spectrum of these diseases. 

This year, we expect more than 3,800 physicians, nurses and related healthcare specialists to participate in the 3.5-day meeting and participate in several unique educational formats including General Sessions, Meet-the-Professor Sessions, Plenary Lectures, Expert Sessions, Oral Abstract Presentations and other interactive and informal exchanges. 

The theme of SOHO 2024 is “Translating Knowledge Worldwide” as it relates to the field of hematologic oncology. Topics will cover the latest advances in the pathophysiology and therapy of: leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma, myelodysplastic neoplasms, myeloproliferative neoplasms, related malignancies and exciting developments in cellular therapy.
