About the Meeting

The ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting is where geneticists gather for the best four days of medical genetics.

Abstract Topic Categories

Research and/or studies presented in the abstract must fit into one of the ACMG 2024 Abstract Categories.

1. Biochemical/Metabolic and Therapeutics
2. Cancer Genetics and Therapeutics
3. Clinical Genetics and Therapeutics
4. Health Services and Implementation
5. Laboratory Genetics and Genomics
6. Prenatal Genetics
7. Research Methods & Education
8. Public Health and Policy

ACMG Annual Meeting Registration and Housing

Please note that receiving a Poster or Platform acceptance does not mean that you are automatically registered for the ACMG Annual Meeting.
You must register and pay on the ACMG Meeting website.  Make sure to register by the Early Bird registration deadline – December 20, 2023 – in order to save money on your registration fee. There are discounted rates for trainees, students, and ACMG members.
After you register, you will be able to book your hotel in the ACMG block. The deadline to reserve a hotel room in the discounted ACMG block is February 20, 2024.

Abstract Presentation Types

Two types of abstract submissions:

1. Scientific Abstract
2. Case Study Abstract*

*Three or more cases must be submitted as a scientific abstract. Case Study abstracts are not eligible for platform presentations or awards.

During submission, first authors must choose one of the three submission types in which they would like the abstract considered for acceptance. The choice must be made at the time of submission and cannot be changed.

Scientific Abstract Submission options:

1. Poster Presentations Only
   Abstracts submitted for Poster presentation only will NOT be considered for a platform presentation, regardless of score.
2. Platform Presentation Only
   Abstracts submitted for platform presentation only will NOT be considered for a Poster, regardless of score.
3. Platform or Poster Presentation
   Abstracts will be considered as a platform presentation or as a Poster, depending on score.

Case Study Abstract Submission option:

1. Poster Presentation Only
   Abstracts submitted as a case study will NOT be considered for a platform presentation, regardless of score.
