Call for Research Abstracts
Format
- This is a blind review process, thus abstain from using institution and corporate names within the abstract. If accepted, you may update your abstract accordingly
- No more than 300 words in length. PLEASE NOTE: Figure/table captions, section headings, figure/table content, keywords and title DO NOT count towards the 300-word limit
- FIGURES: Include up to two (2) figures and/or tables. Upload figures into the portal. Include captions below figures.
- Abstracts can include links to supplemental materials, such as videos or websites. However, please note that the submitted abstract must explain the product in detail. Reviewers will not be expected to evaluate or use web-based application
Submission Guidelines
Research Abstract: This format is to be used for hypothesis-driven translational and reproducible research. Submitted research abstracts should include the following sections:
- Introduction
- Hypothesis
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Keywords
Vendor Research Abstract Submissions: If the author list includes one or more vendors, the following additional criteria apply:
- Submission must be an oral abstract presentation. Vendor posters/demos will NOT be permitted
- If a product or potential product is evaluated, the evaluation must be blinded and measurable
- Presentation can describe the product in the methods section, but company and product logos cannot be placed on presentation slides
- All authors must be included in conflict of interest form at time of abstract submission whether or not first author is a vendor author

To qualify for the student rate, you may not hold a full-time equivalent (FTE) position in the field of imaging informatics. Individuals must also be formally enrolled in, but not limited to, a certificate, associate, undergraduate, graduate, postdoc or fellowship, or residency program. Documentation must be provided. After registering for Student Membership , submit your verification documentation to mthompson@siim.org and allow 2-3 days for processing.
The Virtual Meeting includes select, live-streamed educational sessions presented from Austin.
