SBNS Spring Meeting - Society of British Neurological Surgeons

The SBNS Spring Meeting will be held in the beautiful City of Cork, 29-31 March 2023, and will be hosted by SBNS Colleagues at Cork University Hospital. The Conference Venue they have chosen is the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs Conference Centre, Tivoli, Cork, Southern Ireland The Conference Centre is located in the grounds of the hotel which is also the dedicated conference hotel for this event. If you click on the Travel and Joining information tab you will see it is easily accessible and has good transport links. There is also ample parking at the venue for hotel residents and delegates.

The SBNS Meetings Committee will be working closely with the Hosts at Cork University Hospital to make this an interesting and enjoyable meeting. They have already confirmed some renowned guest speakers to deliver the eponymous lectures and plenary talks. The majority of the talks will of course be from the abstracts submitted for the meeting and the scoring committee will ensure that those selected for presentation will be of the highest quality.

On Tuesday 28th March, prior to the start of the Main Meeting, Joshi George, a Spine Consultant from Manchester will be running a daylong meeting on the subject of Hypermobility related to connective tissue disorders, notably Ehlers Danlos at Stryker’s Cork premises. Speakers will include, neurosurgeons, rheumatologists, geneticists and a patient with the view of creating a multidisciplinary national working group. We are pleased to announce that the British Skull Base Society (BSBS) have agreed to join the meeting and will be organizing the Life Long Learning Session on Wednesday morning with the hosts. The Main Academic Programme will start on Wednesday afternoon and end on Friday after lunch and will include oral and poster sessions on a variety neurosurgical topics, guest lectures, breakfast seminars and much more!
