36th IUSTI Europe Congress - International Union against Sexually Transmitted Infections (IUSTI)

The Congress President, Dr Valeska Padovese and the Chair of the Scientific Committee, Prof  Henry De Vries would like to invite and welcome you to the upcoming 36th IUSTI Europe Congress which will be held at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Valletta, Malta, from the 26 to the 28 October 2023. This is an exciting event for several reasons. It will be the second time that the IUSTI Europe Congress comes to Malta following the successful 2014 edition in St Julian’s. Additionally, the upcoming congress will be a face-to-face meeting following the hybrid congress in Tbilisi 2022, and the virtual editions in Amsterdam 2021 and Romania 2020. We will finally be able to meet each other face-to-face for the first time after the Covid-19 lockdowns! 

As if that is not enough, in 2023 IUSTI Europe celebrates its 100 years and we aim at getting all the IUSTI family to Malta to commemorate this important anniversary. We will surely surprise you with a sparkling congress and outstanding social program! The networking will be in Valletta, Malta’s attractive capital city and a World Heritage Site, nothing short of an open-air museum and a true homage to Baroque architecture. 

The Scientific Program will deal with all aspects of STIs and clinical issues. Furthermore this year it will also aim at discussing health policies to improve the sexual health outcomes of socially disadvantaged group, “reaching out to the hard to reach”: those who are disadvantaged and disenfranchised, the homeless and transient, chronically mentally ill, high school dropouts, criminal offenders, sex workers, juvenile delinquents, gang members, runaways and other street people.
