2023年第27届国际产前诊断与治疗大会将于2023年6月18日至21日英国爱丁堡举行，会议由国际产前诊断学会(ISPD)组织。

Abstract Submission Instructions

Professionals and trainees involved with prenatal diagnosis and therapy are invited to submit an abstract for the categories listed at the bottom of this page. Abstract-based presentations will be given during plenary or concurrent sessions. Notification of acceptance will be made following peer review of all submissions.

Abstract Types

Abstracts will be accepted for the following formats. Abstract authors may opt to be considered for one or both formats.

Oral Presentation: a standard scientific abstract considered for either an oral presentation, or a poster presentation. Authors may indicate whether they want to be considered for either format, or only for oral presentation. These submissions must include complete objective, methods, results, and conclusions sections.

Scientific Poster: a standard scientific abstract submission for a poster presentation. These submissions must include complete objective, methods, results, and conclusions sections. All posters will be presented electronically and authors of accepted abstracts will be expected to present a PDF poster file. Authors will have the option to record a brief video as well. Authors of the poster abstracts with the highest peer review scores will be invited to give lightning communication presentations (brief 2-3 minute oral presentations) in addition to presenting a PDF poster.

All submissions that are accepted and presented at the conference will be published in a special edition of Prenatal Diagnosis.

Abstract Categories

Abstract submissions are encouraged in the following categories.

  • Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics
  • Epigenetics and development
  • Fetal and placental development and pathology
  • Fetal imaging: Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Fetal medical and surgical therapy
  • Global issues in prenatal diagnosis and screening
  • Maternal serum/NT screening for aneuploidy
  • Noninvasive prenatal diagnosis and screening
  • Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis and screening
  • Prenatal diagnosis of single gene disorders / inborn errors of metabolism
  • Prenatal diagnostic procedures
  • Prenatal genetic counseling
  • Prenatal prediction of adverse pregnancy outcomes (e.g pre-eclampisa / preterm labour / growth restriction and stillbirth)
  • Psychosocial, legal and ethical issues in prenatal screening and diagnosis
  • Reproductive genomics, metabolomics and proteomics
  • Screening for single gene disorders
  • Teratogens and Fetal infection
  • Twins

All rates are in US Dollars (USD).

Continuing education certificates for physicians will be available for purchase for $25.
Genetic counselors may submit the general attendance certificate for Category 2 NSGC credits; Genetic Counselors should not purchase a CE certificate.

All in-person and online registrants for the Conference (20-22 June 2022) will have access to the virtual meeting platform for six months. Recordings that have been released by presenters also will be made available to registrants and ISPD members on the ISPD website after the virtual platform closes.

*Allied Health Professional registration is available to non-doctoral Health Professionals (Nurses, Genetic Counselors, Sonographers, Technologists, Administrators, etc.). Documentation of status is required upon registration.

**Trainee registration is available to individuals who are enrolled full-time as a resident, fellow or graduate student in a program that will lead to appropriate degrees or certificates in subjects relating to prenatal diagnosis and therapy. Documentation of status is required upon registration. ISPD Trainee membership is free.
