The IFFS World Congress provides a unique platform for attendees to convene, learn and discuss current advances in reproductive health, access to fertility care, and reproductive rights across the globe, and engage the patient perspective.

Keynote lectures, panels, and our signature trilogy sessions will focus on innovations in male and female infertility, ART, clinical embryology, reproductive genetics, cross-border and third-party reproduction, endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, endoscopic surgery, contraception, gynecological imaging, reproductive environmental health, menopause, and the patient perspective. Renowned international faculty will engage attendees, while free communications and poster sessions offer an opportunity to share cutting edge research and explore new ideas.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES AND GENERAL POLICIES

Abstracts Guidelines

• Authors assume complete responsibility for the data at the time of submission.
• The abstract must contain original work. If the abstract was published or presented at a meeting of another national or international scientific organization, it must contain all citations.
• Abstracts are expected to be approved or exempted by the appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB) with jurisdiction or equivalent if any human subjects or any human materials were utilized.
• Commercial and financial relationships, that represent potential conflicts, must be disclosed through the online Abstract Submission program. Include each authors’ first name, initial, last name, degree(s), and email address on their disclosure page.
• An author on multiple abstracts need only complete one disclosure. All author names should be included at the time of submission. IFFS is not responsible for missing, excluded, or misspelled names that the submitting author leaves off or misspells during the submission process. All author names will be printed in the Abstract Supplement exactly how they are entered into the system by the submitting author.
• If you do not receive notification of the status of your abstract by 30 May 2023, email info@iffs2023.org.
• All decisions by the Scientific Congress Committee are final. Dates and times of presentations will be assigned and cannot be altered.
• All authors agree to abide by IFFS policies pertaining to submission, publication, and presentation of abstracts.
• Submission of an abstract for consideration for presentation implies that the presenting author intends to attend the meeting to present his/her work.

• Accepted abstracts will be published in the IFFS Journal: Global Reproductive Health.
  
  

• Abstract title should be brief and reflect the content of the abstract. The limit for the title is 50 words.
• The abstract title should be typed in lower-case letters, except for abbreviations and study names. Please be careful that your title might be truncated if you copy and paste it into the field.
• Do not refer to study results or conclusions in the title of the abstract. The title should objectively describe the study.
• The abstract must contain original work. If the abstract was published or presented at a meeting of another national or international scientific organization, it must contain all citations

• Names of authors should be written in upper/lower cases in the following way: {Full name with first letter in upper case (e.g. John)} {Surname (Family Name) with first letter in upper case (e.g. Smith)}
• Please enter the first name in full, followed by the surname (Family Name), for each author, without abbreviations (e.g. John Smith, and NOT J. Smith).
• Each abstract can have a maximum of 25 authors
  
  

• The text (excluding title, authors, and affiliations) should not exceed 350 words.
• Organize the abstract according to four sections, identified by the following headers:
  • Introduction
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions
• Do not include illustrations with the abstract.
• Place abbreviations in parentheses immediately after the first mention of a term or phrase; the abbreviation can then be used throughout the abstract.
• Table(s), Figures and photographs may be included.
• Describe the objectives and results of the research in the abstract so that the Abstract Evaluation Committee can evaluate the quality, originality, and completeness of the abstract.
• Abstracts will be judged solely on the basis of the data in the submitted abstract.

We will meet - in person - at the Megaron International Conference Centre, in the shadow of the Parthenon, and our gracious local hosts of the Hellenic Fertility and Sterility Society will welcome us all.

Keynote lectures, panels, and our signature trilogy sessions will focus on innovations in male and female infertility, ART, clinical embryology, reproductive genetics, cross-border and third-party reproduction, endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, endoscopic surgery, contraception, gynecological imaging, reproductive environmental health, menopause, and the patient perspective. IFFS, founded in 1951 as the International Fertility Association (IFA), was formally chartered in 1968. For the past fifty plus years, the World Congress has been a destination for education, science and networking for professionals in the field of global reproductive healthcare. We have distinguished ourselves and are committed to accomplish our core mission: emphasize cutting edge basic and translational science; provide education to practitioners globally; promote high standards of care and advocacy for patients; and engage patients in their journeys in fertility and infertility care. Networking with colleagues and patients is a crucial element of the IFFS World Congress, particularly after we have all spent so much time in virtual environments during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Athens is a hub of assisted reproductive technologies. Greece has 48 licensed ART Centres, most in Athens, 11 in the public sector (in all University Medical Schools, in an NHS Hospital and in the Naval Hospital of Athens) and 37 in the private sector. Greece has become a hub for cross-border reproductive care, due to its liberal legal framework and particularly the application of gamete donation and surrogacy in a well-regulated process. Furthermore, Greece has top quality researchers in the field of ART who have contributed significantly to the global literature, as well as leading endoscopic surgeons who perform the most demanding endoscopic procedures.
