2023年第9届欧洲卒中组织大会(ESOC)将于2023年5月24-26日在德国慕尼黑举行,会议由欧洲卒中组织主办。ESOC是欧洲讨论和传播有关卒中护理最新进展的首要论坛,已成为世界上最重要的发布重大试验数据的平台。ESOC将促进欧洲和国际卒中专家间的学习、讨论和交流,同时为与会者提供了一个了解卒中管理、治疗和预防的最新临床试验和研究成果的平台,预计来自全球100多个国家的4000余名专业人士参会。

Guidelines for preparation of abstracts

1. Abstracts may only be submitted online. Abstracts submitted by fax or email will not be accepted. 

2. Authors should indicate their presentation type preference: 

  • Poster presentation only
  • Oral or Poster presentation 

Note: “Poster presentation only” implies that your abstract will be considered for poster presentation only. 

The same person may serve as presenting author on up to 5 abstracts. 

3. The Scientific Programme Committee reserves the right to decide on the final allocation and presentation method. 

4. All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear UK English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. If you need help, please arrange for the review of your abstract by a colleague who is a native English speaker, by a university specific publications office (or other similar facility) or by a copy editor, prior to submission. 

5. The presenting author of an accepted abstract must register and attend the congress to ensure the publication of abstracts. 

6. Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official conference publications. 

7. The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and agree to its submission, before submitting the abstract. 

8. Abstracts that have been previously presented at another international meeting cannot be considered for a plenary session. 

9. Abstract title – must be in UPPER CASE and limited to 25 words. Please submit symbols as words. 

10. Abstract text – limited to 250 words including acknowledgements. Please note word count is affected when tables are included. Tables (3 max) may be added at the end of the template (word file). 

11. Abstracts should clearly state:
Background and aims
Methods
Results
Conclusions 

12. Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears.  

13. Use generic names of drugs. The presentation must be balanced and contain no commercial promotional content. 

14. Images– The maximum file size of each image is 500 KB. The maximum pixel size of the graph/image is 600(w) x 800(h) pixel. You may upload images in JPG, GIF or PNG format. Images (3 max) may be added at the end of the template (word file). 

15. Submissions may not contain patient names, hospital ID numbers or other identifying information. 

16. Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Abstract submitters will be required to disclose any conflict of interests in the submission form. 

17. Please make sure to state your correct e-mail address. After having submitted your abstract, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail with the following information: 

  • reference number of your abstract (for correspondence and questions that might arise)
  • your personal user code and password 

If you do not receive a confirmation by e-mail, please contact abstracts@congrex.com. 

18. Should you wish to make corrections to an abstract already submitted or if you wish to submit other abstracts later, you may use your personal access code. This will shorten the submission procedure.  

Corrections to abstracts can only be made up to the deadline of 17 January 2023, 23.59h CET. 

Travelgrants: 

  • WHO IS ELIGIBLE? 

Abstract presenting authors, who are residents of a country classified with low-income and lower-middle-income economies, according to the World Bank Country Classification. 

  • GRANT RULES 
  • Travel Grant receivers are chosen among presenting authors whose abstract is among best scoring (only of those eligible for this grant). 
  • Presenting authors must have submitted their abstract to the Conference via the website. 
  • Awardees will need to provide banking details for transfer of the travel grant. The transfer will only be made after the Conference. 
  • Awardees’ names and institutions will be published on the Conference website.

  • Via the abstract submission
  • Applicants must submit a copy of their passport. The required document should be submitted via a link that will be provided during your abstract submission.
  • Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the corresponding authors via email by mid-March 2023.

Publication 

Publication Embargo: ESOC 2023 has an embargo policy on all abstracts submitted to the conference. The embargo will be lifted on 24 May 2023.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the peer-reviewed journal.

Registration Categories / Proof Upload

Trainee (Student/Fellow/Nurse), AHP and Junior ResearchersIn order to benefit from the special fee, a submission of your status confirmation (approval letter signed by the head of department or copy of your status ID) must be uploaded in English language during the online registration as pdf or jpg. This category does not apply for residents. 

** The reduced rate is available to all participants of a country designated by the World Bank rating as a low / lower-middle income economy. Please click here to view a list of these countries. 

*** Strictly refers to non-physician/lay-person members of SSOs. 

****Tickets will be sold on a first-come first-served basis. Each course has limited places.  

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be sent to registration.ESOC@congrex.com. 

Participants have the right to cancel the registration within 14 days from the conclusion of the agreement, i.e. from the receipt of our registration invoice email. The right of withdrawal is lost if the participant attends the congress before the expiry of the right of withdrawal. 

Correction of spelling mistakes or swapping first and last name due to incorrect submission will be charged with € 10.
