• Authors may submit abstracts for oral presentations or poster sessions for the ECBIP 2023 AEER
• Abstracts must be submitted online no later than January 15, 2023.
• The link to submit abstracts will be given on this page as soon as abstract submission opens.
• Authors must be registered to attend the event.
• As they submit an abstract, authors have to be aware that they must register to the congress if they have an abstract accepted, and be onsite in case of oral presentation.

Abstracts must be in the areas of:

• Interventional pulmonology
• Pleural diseases
• Tracheobronchology
• Thoracic surgery
• Lung cancer

• Abstract submissions will be reviewed by the Abstracts Review Committee for acceptance.
• Abstract acceptance notifications will be sent to authors by email no later than early February 2023.

• Accepted abstracts will be published in the scientific and online programs of the 27th ECBIP 2023 AEER
• Accepted abstracts will be published on USB sticks for congress attendees,

• 2 Olympus Medical Abstract Awards
• 2 AEER Abstract Nursing Awards

• Abstracts should have a clear hypothesis and methodology, list all author names and institutions, and designate a corresponding author.
• The body of text can be a maximum of 300 words and cannot include figure nor table. It is mandatory to summit in word format
• Abstracts should be written in a structured format and include: Title, Authors names, Authors affiliations, Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
• Case reports are also acceptable and should be identified as such on the submission form. Case reports should be structured as follows: Title, Authors names, Authors affiliations, Background, Case report, and Conclusion.
• The abstracts title should begin with a capital letter followed by lower case lettering.

• Abstracts must contain original data, be free of plagiarism, and be written and submitted in English
• The linguistic accuracy of the abstract is the responsibility of the authors.

• Abstracts must provide the funding source (industry name, grant name, or other applicable funding) if one exists.
• Commercial names, trade names and company brands should not be mentioned in the abstract title; however, they may be mentioned in the body of text.
• Abstracts containing elements that might lead to patient identification shall be disqualified.

• Oral presentations are 10 minutes.
• Powerpoint presentations may be used.

• Text, figures, and images may be included.
• Posters may be laminated.

• Authors are required to write an original abstract that fulfills accepted criteria for copyright purposes.
• By submitting an abstract, all authors attest that the abstract submitted has not been previously published elsewhere and transfers, assigns, or otherwise conveys all copyright ownership, including any and all rights incidental thereto, exclusively to WABIP.
• If an author chooses to submit information from an abstract that has previously been presented and/or published, all data must be updated, current, and rewritten in a manner that does not infringe on international copyright laws. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to include any copyrighted material in their abstract presentations. All authors will be required to agree to a copyright assignment statement when submitting an abstract.

Dear colleagues,

It is time to resume our meetings to be able to continue talking, reflecting and debating about the latest advances in Respiratory Endoscopy and Interventional Pneumology. Therefore, as president and on behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to invite you to participate in the 7th European Congress for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (ECBIP2023) and XXVII National Congress of the Spanish Association of Respiratory Endoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology (AEER2023), which we will be held from May 11 to 13 in Madrid (Spain)

From the organizing and scientific committees we are working to offer a varied and high-level scientific program in which we will have the privilege of having presentations, round tables and conferences given by professionals of recognized prestige.

I would like to appeal to colleagues who have never attended the ECBIP and AEER congresses because they will discover that it is a forum of national and international reference where scientists, professors and professionals from our specialties exchange experiences and knowledge on the latest developments.

It is the first time that both our region and our city, Madrid, host the European Congress for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (ECBIP), and it is a privilege for us to show that our city is much more than the capital of Spain. We have chosen Madrid as the best setting to see each other again, a large but very welcoming city that you will surely love.

I hope to meet you all in 2023 in Madrid!
