Scientific Abstracts: January 9 – April 5, 2023
Abstracts submitted to ASA will be considered for Oral or Featured Abstract (paper poster) presentations. These presentations are delivered in English without translation. Abstracts chosen for an Oral or Featured Abstract session must be delivered by a presenting author fluent in English to facilitate comprehension of the information by the learner. Presentations are organized by topic into specific categories (e.g., Clinical Circulation, Experimental Neurosciences). Experts in the field facilitate or moderate all scientific abstract presentations. Submitters may apply for the Resident Essay Contest and be considered for the Journal Symposium (This year’s theme is "Protecting Moms: Anesthesiology and Peridelivery Care.”

Scientific and Educational Exhibits: January 9 – April 5, 2023
The ASA Scientific and Educational Exhibit format is not intended to be used as a repository for work better presented as a scientific abstract or poster presentation. Rather, this educational vehicle is intended to be used to display scientific or educational materials that may be best presented in the 10x10 exhibit space. Past examples focused on airway management, pain management and peripheral nerve blocks, including use of ultrasound techniques and exhibits that educate through the use of computer-based learning, advanced communication technology, handheld devices, videos and simulators.

Medically Challenging Case and Quality Improvement Projects: February 8 - May 17, 2023
Medically Challenging Cases (MCCs) and quality improvement (QI) project presentations are a great opportunity for medical students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty to participate in ANESTHESIOLOGY. MCCs were introduced at the ASA annual meeting in 2005 as a forum for anesthesiology residents and attendings to present clinically challenging experiences and receive input from attendees as to how they would address the same difficult situation. These cases are of immense educational value to those attending the meeting and provide the presenter, specifically junior faculty, residents, and fellows, an opportunity to attend the annual meeting, gain experience in preparing a case presentation along with a poster, and present and share their experience to fellow colleagues.

REGISTRATION CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Cancellation Deadline: Friday, September 15, 2023
Requests for Full Experience cancellation emailed on or before Friday, September 15, 2023, will default to the Virtual Experience and the change in registration fees will be refunded. However, if you wish to cancel your participation entirely, please indicate so and a 20% cancellation fee will apply. This fee is calculated on the total amount collected during registration
No refunds: Cancellation requests for paid registrations received by email after Friday, September 15, 2023, are not eligible for refunds and requests cannot be processed. Refunds will be not be provided for no-shows or cancellations related to refusal to adhere to meeting guidelines.
Non-transferrable: Registration or ticketed sessions cannot be transferred to another attendee.
