More than 5,500 critical care professionals attend SCCM’s annual Congress to discover the latest solutions and developments, medical advances, cutting-edge treatments, and breakthroughs in intensive care unit (ICU) administration and management.
Abstracts/摘要
Make your contribution to the advancement of critical care by submitting your original investigative research and case reports for the 51st Critical Care Congress. Submissions will be accepted through August 2, 2021, at 12:00 noon Central Time.
If accepted, your work will be:
- Considered for presentation at Congress
- Published in the January supplement of Critical Care Medicine, the #1 critical care subspecialty journal
- Eligible for peer evaluation and awards
First authors who are SCCM members and non-full physicians at the time of abstract submission may be eligible for complimentary Congress registration.

Abstracts
- Each submission is limited to a total of 2,456 characters, including spaces. Each section of the abstract has a character limit. The body may contain 2,356 characters. The title may contain 100 characters and should be in title case.
- There is a limit of 20 authors.
- Subheadings (e.g., INTRODUCTION/HYPOTHESIS, METHODS, RESULTS, and CONCLUSIONS.) should be included in the body of the abstract in uppercase and bold and followed by a colon.
- The abstract may not contain tables or images.
- Phrases such as “Results/methods will be discussed” and “Additional data will be presented” convey no relevant information and are unacceptable.
- The abstract cannot contain any HTML codes. To avoid formatting inconsistencies, please do not copy and paste text directly from Microsoft Word. Instead, paste the content into a plain text editor (such as Notepad) and then transfer the content from there.
- Please do not use all uppercase for the abstract content. Turn off the caps lock feature.

SCCM2022 注册费:
In person (vaccination required): Learn live February 6-9, 2022, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Online: Learn virtually through selected live session broadcasts, session recordings, and virtual Q&A with experts.
SCCM follows the guidance provided by the CDC and local authorities. Given these guidelines, to attend a live (in-person) SCCM event, all attendees are required to be fully vaccinated. Attendees will be asked to show proof of full vaccination upon check-in at the live event.

Cancellation/Refund Policy*
As of January 10, 2022, SCCM has decided to cancel the in-person event. SCCM will be offering Congress as a virtual-only option in April 2022. SCCM will transfer all in-person registration to the virtual option. If at any time before the virtual event you decide to not participate, you may request and will receive a full refund. Please allow four weeks to process refunds. SCCM shall not be liable for any costs, expenses, or fees related to your cancellation of travel and attendance associated with the cancellation of the in-person event. This includes but is not limited to cancellation of airline tickets, car rental reservations, and hotel reservations. Booking, purchasing, or securing travel arrangements is at the risk of the registrant.
