Dear Delegates,
The first half of 2021 has been challenging yet hopeful as global experts and leaders join efforts to hasten the roll out of the COVID-19 vaccination.
After careful deliberation and consideration, the Local Organising Committee and the APSIC Exco has decided to postpone the 10th International Congress of The Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC) 2022 and its associated workshops, due to take place on 28 – 31 July 2022 in view of the ever-changing landscape due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
APSIC will continue to take place as a hybrid congress that combines “live” in-person sessions with a “virtual” online component.
The theme of the congress, “IPC @ The Crossroads”, was chosen years ago in recognition of the fluidity of the rapidly changing landscape of Infection Prevention and Control, which is even more relevant today because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Scientific Committee has been working hard at developing an exciting and comprehensive programme, including the impact of COVID-19 on Infection Prevention and Control.
We are preparing to livestream as many of the APSIC sessions as possible with the possibility of pre-recorded session if needed, including the online poster presentations.
The congress will provide the opportunity to obtain and exchange up-to-date information and knowledge on Infection Control in the region and beyond.
We look forward to meeting you in person as well as virtually.
