Dear colleagues, congress participants, and members of our community,
We have never seen a year like this, in which the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the world so dramatically. At EASL, we have tried to be as agile and responsive as possible, adapting to serve and support the hepatology community throughout the crisis. We acknowledge the tremendous work of our colleagues in the medical community, researchers, nurses, doctors, other health professionals and key workers, and we thank you for your tremendous skill, service, and dedication.
Upon careful reflection, conscious of the likely ongoing restrictions to international travel and large gatherings, as well as the high toll on healthcare systems, we have decided that our flagship congress (planned previously as a hybrid event in Amsterdam) will now take place as a fully digital meeting from Wednesday to Saturday, 23–26 June.
The International Liver Congress™ 2021, our flagship congress, is delivered to you on our online learning platform, EASL Campus. ILC 2021 is all about beating liver disease together. We’ll tackle this challenge from multiple perspectives, drawing on multidisciplinary expertise. ILC 2021 will be your live EASL Campus experience, enabling you to broaden your knowledge and build bridges, between people and areas of expertise. Getting onto campus offers you the perfect mix of mingling and learning.
EASL rose to the challenge of a digital meeting with Digital ILC 2020. At ILC 2021, we will raise the bar higher still, bringing you cutting-edge content and extensive interactivity throughout. We are currently fine-tuning the congress programme and we assure you that it will be a highly stimulating event.
Your participation is crucial at this event, convening the global hepatology community to continue the excellent work you do. To ensure that you make the most of ILC 2021, we strongly recommend that you keep your diaries clear from Wednesday to Saturday, 23–26 June. We wouldn’t want you to miss out on the amazing content and discussions!

For Young Investigators who are currently not an EASL Member, a complimentary membership (without JHEP subscription) is included with the ILC 2021 registration until 31 December 2021.
Additionally, abstract submitters from Low-income Economies will be exempted from the EUR 50 required to submit their abstract(s).
Your International Liver Congress™ 2021 registration includes exclusive access to the full on-demand content until 30 August 2021.
Modification & Cancellation
For cancellations received prior to Tuesday, 20 April 2021, midnight CET, deposits will be refunded less 25% for administrative charge. After this deadline, no refund policy will be in effect. A handling fee of 30 EUR per registration will be charged for every registration modification. Name changes are possible until 20 June 2021 only.
