ABSTRACT FORMAT

All submitted free paper, poster and video abstracts must be in English and follow the structured format below:

- Title – max 250 characters
- Purpose – max 100 words
- Setting – max 50 words
- Methods – max 100 words
- Results – max 100 words
- Conclusions – max 100 words
- Financial Disclosure of all authors

All submitted case report abstracts must be in English and follow the structured format below:

- Title - max 250 characters
- Purpose - max 100 words
- Setting - max 50 words
- Report of case - max 300 words
- Conclusion/Take home message - max 150 words

» The summary of results presented must be given in sufficient detail to support the conclusions. The Programme Committee will only accept abstracts with final results or conclusions.

» References and credits cannot be included as part of an abstract.

» Formulae should, in general, be avoided.

» When using abbreviations or acronyms for the first time, care should be taken to spell them out in full with the abbreviation in parentheses after the full word/s the first time it appears in the text. The abbreviation should be used alone thereafter.

» Indicate whether the presenting author or any co-author has a financial interest in the subject matter or receives money from any mentioned company.

» Any financial interest must be included on the first slide of the presentation.

First, second and third prizes of €2000, €1000 and €500 are awarded to the best cataract and refractive posters. Posters are judged based on: originality, scientific quality, relevance to clinical practice and presentation.

In order to have their poster displayed, all poster authors must be registered delegates and must attend the Congress.

Case Report Presentations

» Only ONE CASE REPORT per presentation is permitted

» Each accepted case will be allocated 5 minutes. Please note that some abstracts submitted as a case report may be accepted as an electronic poster.

Early Bird Registration deadline: Wednesday 21 July 2021 (midnight CET)
Late Registration rates from Thursday 22 July 2021

Registration modification and cancellation

For cancellations received prior to Wednesday 11 August 2021, midnight CET, deposits will be refunded less 50'% administrative charge. After this date, no refunds will be possible.

Changing registration type from in-person to virtual (or vice versa) is considered as a cancellation and will be charged accordingly.

A handling fee of 40 EUR per registration will be charged for every registration modification received from Wednesday 08 September 2021. A name change will be considered as a modification and will be charged 40 EUR .

If a badge is lost or forgotten onsite, an administrative fee of 80 EUR will be charged for the reprint of the badge after identity verification (passport, driving license or other recognised identification documents).

In the event of ESCRS cancelling the face-to-face portion of the meeting, all existing registrations will automatically be converted to Virtual registrations and the cost difference reimbursed.
