2021年第58届ERA-EDTA大会(欧洲肾脏病年会)将于2021年6月5-8日以虚拟会议形式举行，会议由欧洲肾脏协会和欧洲透析与移植协会(ERA-EDTA)主办。欧洲肾脏病年会(ERA-EDTA年会)将为与会者提供肾脏领域相关主题的最新进展，重点介绍最新的基础和临床研究结果。大会包括40多个研讨会和30多个小型课程，议题涵盖肾脏病临床、基础医学、肾脏替代治疗和移植等方面，同时将特别关注糖尿病肾病和肾脏内科及其他内科（如心脏病学或风湿病学）分支之间的相互作用，特别是在治疗肾脏疾病方面最新进展。2021年ERA-EDTA大会预计将有超过9000名来自世界各地的肾脏病医师、学者和临床研究人员以及其他多学科肾脏病护理领域的医疗保健专业人员参加会议(2019年注册参会人数为9129人，225名演讲者，119家参展商，2178份摘要提交，1833份摘要被接收，1668份海报展示)。

Processing fee/摘要提交费:

A non-refundable processing fee of EUR 25.00 must be paid for each abstract submitted. The processing fee must be paid at the time of submission by credit card only. Major credit cards (MasterCard and Visa) are accepted for the secure online payment. All payments must be received by Friday, January 15, 2021 at 23.59 CET so that the submission can be finalised successfully. This fee is non refundable even if the abstract is rejected.

POSTERS

All posters will be presented exclusively as e-posters and will be available for the entire duration of the virtual congress as well as afterwards. There will be also moderated poster sessions. Authors will receive full details regarding the submission procedure in due course.

PUBLICATION

All abstracts accepted for presentation (either oral or poster) will appear in NDT as an official online supplement. No abstract book will be printed. Abstracts will appear exactly as submitted. Any abstract considered unsuitable for reproduction will not be published.

The ERA-EDTA Congress returns Fully Virtual in 2021. Due to the pandemic, our societies and economies are in a constant state of change, creating new challenges for all of us, including the entire nephrology community.

A lot of changes are occurring worldwide: the keywords chosen for this year’s meeting are “Healthy Environment, Healthy Kidneys”. This summarises what we know, what we think we know and what we need to know to achieve our final goal, that is, to provide the best care for our patients but also for the environment and to create a positive circle between the ecosystem and kidney health. A special Welcome Lecture will be presented by Carlo Barbante on June 5, entitled “Too late for 2°C? From the Paris agreement to the climate of tomorrow”. This outstanding contribution will open the 58th ERA-EDTA Congress immediately after the Welcome Ceremony.

The Scientific Committee, chaired by Giovambattista Capasso, has worked very hard to provide the latest cutting-edge science. He was supported by Maria José Soler Romeo, who acted as the Chair of the Paper Selection Committee. Despite the difficult period we are all facing, we received a large number of high-quality abstracts. The final form of the programme is the result of many hours of joint work of the Scientific Committee Chair, the Congress President, the Paper Selecting Committee Chair and last but not least Giuseppe Palladino, ERA-EDTA Research & Development Manager.

On June 5, the first day of the Congress, the traditional CEPD and Hands-On Courses will be held. This is a unique opportunity for professional development with tailored courses given by top European experts in the field fully included in the general registration fee.

The main programme includes three plenary lectures, all given by outstanding scientists and excellent speakers, who will cover aspects of the Congress’s main scientific topics. The programme will be complemented by various interesting Industry Symposia.

We also would like to welcome all ERA-EDTA Members to the General Assembly of the ERA-EDTA, where the Officers and our President will update you on the work that has been done during the last year.

The programme was organised in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nephrologie (DGfN). We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Council of the Society for their professional and technical support. Input from Germany Society of Nephrology (dGfN) and KLUG (Deutsche Allianz Klimawandel und Gesundheit) are present in two symposia: on June 6 where German experts will focus on the “New KDIGO guidelines on the management of glomerulonephritis“, and on June 7 in a symposium on “Climate change and health: the opinion of the younger generation“. Furthermore, for the first time, our Congress has been fully accredited also by the local CME system so that all German attendees will receive full CME German credits.

The Congress will also be the opportunity to launch an extremely relevant initiative for the nephrology community, funded by the Erasmus + Programme of European Union: N-PATH (Nephrology Partnership for Advancing Technology in Healthcare), the first European training course in diagnostic and interventional nephrology.

The Virtual Congress will offer not only educational activities and top scientific content, but also innovative networking opportunities: a new digital platform will enable you to actively contribute to Group discussions based on specific topics and to actively communicate with other delegates on our new Social Media Wall. You will be able to choose your favourite networking tools and join our international Community, sharing your knowledge and experience.
