2021年第10届欧洲儿科学大会（Europaediatrics 2021）将于2021年10月7-9日在克罗地亚首都萨格勒布以线上线下结合形式举行，该大会是欧洲儿科协会/欧洲国家儿科学会和协会联盟（EPA-UNEPSA）的重要年度活动，大会将汇集来自欧洲和其他各大洲的儿科医生和儿童健康专业人士。会议的目标是通过一级、二级和三级预防来预防疾病和残疾；在无法进行预防的情况下，提供基于最新证据的治疗，优化儿童和家庭的健康和福祉，并促进儿童享有健康、公平和社会正义的权利；将为在欧洲和国际上从事初级，二级和三级医疗工作的儿科医生和卫生专业人员提供相关信息。

The 10th Europaediatrics Congress will be held in hybrid form, from 7th-9th October 2021 at the Westin Zagreb Hotel, Zagreb, Croatia.

Dear colleagues,

We are honored and pleased to welcome you to the 10th Europaediatrics Congress which will be held as an hybrid event. The 10th Europaediatrics Congress will take place in Zagreb, Croatia from 7 – 9 October 2021 and is being hosted by the Westin Zagreb Hotel, located in the very centre of Croatian capital. City of Zagreb will welcome you with a unique hospitality which is so typical for this charming capital of Croatia.

The Covid-19 has created one of the most challenging environments the modern world has ever experienced, so we chose Covid-19 as one of the main topics for 10th Europaediatrics Congress. Thanks to the efforts - especially of medical staff - we are witnessing an ever-improving situation, so in that optimistic tone we invite you to join us in Zagreb. We believe that now, more than ever, we all need to come together and see this challenge as an opportunity.

More than a 100 lecturers and more than a 600 abstracts will provide you with the most up-to-date insight into the current situation regarding our profession and the consequences that this disease leaves us.

While this decade began with some unique challenges—namely the global spread of COVID-19 and restriction of movement in many countries— we also witnessed a strong sense of solidarity, as people came together to support one another through the situation. As the world adapted to current realities, new digital solutions allowed us to remain connected. We hope to bring the new value of these mixed developed communication channels to this hybrid edition of the 10th Europaediatrics Congress.

The congress is the highlight of the activities of the European Paediatric Association and the Union of National European Paediatric Societies and Associations (EPA-UNEPSA).This flagship event has become a wonderful tradition of bringing together paediatricians and child health professionals from all around Europe.

Our objective is health promotion and prevention of disease and disability through primary, secondary and tertiary prevention; and where prevention is not possible to provide up-to-date evidence based treatment and optimize the health and wellbeing of the child and family and in addition promote children’s rights to health, equity and social justice. Actual information, especially regarding Covid-19 problematics will be provided for paediatricians and health professionals working in primary, secondary and tertiary care across Europe and internationally.

There are traces that suggest that in the area of today's Croatia there was concern for children from Roman times. The first known institution for child protection in Croatia was an orphanage in Dubrovnik mentioned in documents from the late 13th century. The first paediatrician in Croatia, Dr Radovan Marković, founded the first paediatric department at the Sestre milosrdnice University Hospital Centre in 1904. The oldest university department of paediatrics in Croatia and this part of Europe was established by Dr Ernst Mayerhofer in 1923. Since that time paediatricians in Croatia adequately monitor and actively participate in the world medical achievements and in cooperation with other specialists and other professionals provide high level healthcare for children in Croatia.

* Virtual rates include: Link and personal password to access the scientific sessions and virtual exhibition area, CME credits, Certificate of Attendance, access to scientific sessions upon the end of the event.

* Trainee rates are applicable for individuals studying full time for an academic qualification or participating in a nationally recognised structured postgraduate training programme. This does not include part-time students studying for a higher medical qualification whilst working in a different role. In order to show eligibility, you will be required to provide a written proof of your student or trainee status when submitting your registration. This refers to a letter signed by the Head of Department with the name of the Training Programme and that of the recognised Training Body.

* Concession Countries rates are applicable for individuals from the countries that are classified as middle or low-income by the World Bank (please check the list HERE). Concession Countries rates are applicable for Croatian participants as well.
