Dear Colleagues,
We invite you to join us for the 2021 CTOS Annual Meeting, November 10-13! Because of the evolving COVID19 pandemic, this year’s meeting will be held in a virtual format and we are hoping to also host an in-person component in Vancouver which will be determined this summer.
The program has been developed to include both abstract presentations as well as relevant and timely debates related to clinical application and approach of new findings and techniques in the care of sarcoma and connective tissue tumors. The disease focused sessions have been developed to include all multidisciplinary clinical approaches as well as preclinical/ translational research and the patient experience. New this year, we look forward to welcoming submissions exploring the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on sarcoma diagnosis, care as well as survivorship.
As with last year’s virtual meeting, abstract presentations and posters will be available online prior to the meeting. The meeting itself will provide the presenters a chance to highlight key findings and prompt discussion among both presenters and moderators. We look forward to continuing the “Meet-the-Experts” sessions each morning, to stimulate ongoing discussions between senior sarcoma experts and early career attendees.
CTOS is committed to all aspects of sarcoma research and treatment. We welcome diagnosticians, clinicians, trialists, translational and basic researchers, survivorship care providers, nursing staff, patients and patient advocates to join us as well as contribute to the scientific program. We hope the meeting will have exciting debates on practices around the world and lead to further cross-pollination and collaboration within our growing community! We also seek your thoughts on envisioning the next 10 years of CTOS in a special session wrapping up this year’s meeting.
Last year we had a record number of attendees registered for the virtual meeting. Despite the uncertainties of these times, the commitment to care for and improve treatments for patients suffering from sarcoma and rare connective tissue tumors perseveres. We look forward to another successful meeting!
Warm regards,
