2021年第33届亚太地区白内障与屈光外科医师协会（APACRS）年会暨第30届新加坡国立眼科中心(SNEC)国际会议将于2021年7月30日至31日在以虚拟会议形式举行，本次会议由亚太白内障与屈光外科医师协会(APACRS)与新加坡国立眼科中心(SNEC)联合举办。
亚太白内障与屈光外科医师协会（APACRS）是亚太地区首屈一指的代表白内障和屈光外科医师的组织，其前身为亚太地区眼内植入物协会（APIIA），由Arthur Lim教授于1987年创立。APACRS每年与亚太地区的区域组织联合举行年度会议，其主要功能是传播和促进亚太地区眼前节手术各方面的发展。多年来，APACR通过各种方式来实现这一功能，其中包括出版亚太版的EyeWorld新闻杂志。APACRS通过与地区和国际白内障和屈光外科团体密切合作，为相关专业人士提供眼科教育与交流的区域平台（未经许可，禁止复制摘录转载本站任何内容-领域国际医学会议网）

Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Industry Partners
2020 was a challenging year for everyone due to COVID-19. We continue to be concerned with the worldwide surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in 2021, and the lockdowns in several countries in recent months.
While the start of a worldwide vaccination campaign heralds the next phase of our battle to overcome this pandemic, many uncertainties still abound especially with regard to international travel and meetings. These uncertainties are making it impossible to plan, organize and execute a large scale in-person international meeting in Singapore in 2021 to the standard, format and style that our delegates, speakers, and industry partners expect and deserve.
After careful deliberation and taking into consideration the local and worldwide situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizing committee has decided that an in-person meeting in 2021 will be neither feasible nor practical. We will instead host a virtual 33rd APACRS–SNEC 30th anniversary meeting from Friday, 30 July 2021 to Saturday, 31 July 2021.
The virtual meeting we are planning will offer a stimulating alternative forum that is attractive, meaningful and educational for you to participate in an interactive environment. Careful thought and planning are going into the virtual meeting format and content. Taking advantage of the virtual format, we can avail ourselves of the best cataract and refractive surgery speakers from all over the world.
