2020年第12届亚太正畸大会(APOC 2020)暨2020年第79届日本正畸学会(JOS)年会同期举办。
世界正畸医师联合会(WFO)由69个附属组织于1995年5月15日在旧金山举行的第四届国际正畸大会（IOC）上成立，目前拥有8000多名WFO研究员和109个附属组织。WFO的目标是在世界范围内提高正畸标准；鼓励并应要求协助在没有正畸医师组织的国家成立全国性的正畸医师组织；促进和协助成立国家级正畸专业认证委员会；促进高标准的正畸研究和治疗；促进正畸研究和治疗信息的交流；促进高标准的正畸教育、培训、认证和许可；主办和管理定期举行的国际正畸大会(IOC)，包括选择会议举办地和主办组织。——未经许可，禁止复制摘录转载本站任何内容-领域国际医学会议网。
New Plans for the 9th International Orthodontic Congress
We are all conscious of how COVID-19 has affected our private and professional lives.
As you may have expected the WFO and Japanese Orthodontic Society (JOS) have no alternative but to review the logistics of the 9th IOC in Yokohama.
Although we will not be able to meet socially in Yokohama the GOOD news is that we will be bringing Yokohama to you in an exciting new format.
The 9th IOC will be a virtual 24/7 online “on demand conference”.
From your home or office you will be able to:
- listen to and interact with the IOC scheduled speakers
- view the 800+ posters
- have virtual trade/exhibitor communications.
For those who register it involves - no travel costs - no hotel expenses - no time away from home or office - a win-win.
The Local Organising Committee is working hard with the Conference Organisers and further details will be posted on the 9th IOC website and the WFO website on a regular basis. An update of these websites will be taking place over the next few weeks.
There is exciting work in progress. Please keep viewing the websites in order that you do not miss out on the opportunity to be part of
the first virtual International Orthodontic Conference.

Dear Colleagues,
It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 9th International Orthodontic Congress (IOC) of the World Federation of Orthodontists which will be held in Yokohama, Japan in October 2020.
We believe that holding the 9th IOC, for the first time in Asia, will be an excellent opportunity to share the latest knowledge and outcomes in the clinical and basic sciences of our profession under the integrated theme, “Broadening the Vision in Orthodontics: Orthodontics as the starting point for health science”. It is noteworthy that the 12th Asian Pacific Orthodontic Conference and the 79th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Orthodontic Society will be co-hosted with the 9th IOC. This will be an ideal opportunity for orthodontists and oral care professionals to get together from around the world for the benefit of orthodontic patients.
The Local Organizing Committee has been established and is preparing attractive programs to meet the high expectations of speakers, delegates, participants and accompanying persons. We have chosen Pacifico Yokohama as the venue, as it offers a large space to meet the needs of an international convention. The facilities include the National Convention Hall of Yokohama, the Conference Center, the Exhibition Hall and the Hotel.
The infrastructure around the city of Yokohama, only a 30-minute ride from Tokyo, will be greatly expanded and refurbished along with the holding of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic games in the summer. October in Yokohama is the best season to enjoy good food, the arts, festivals and live music as the autumn season begins.
