2018年第3届亚太甲状腺外科学会(APTS)大会将于2018年12月7日至9日在中国台湾高雄举行，会议由亚太甲状腺外科学会(APTS)主办，台湾头颈学会(THNS)承办。
亚太甲状腺外科学会(APTS)于2014年由亚太地区知名的甲状腺外科专家发起成立，其宗旨是致力于促进亚太地区甲状腺外科的发展，改善甲状腺疾病患者的护理。APTS致力于促进和推进甲状腺外科的科学知识和技术发展；促进甲状腺外科和疾病的研究和教育，并保持甲状腺外科临床实践的高标准；发展亚太地区外科医师和与甲状腺外科相关的医师之间的友谊；与国际、国家和地区的甲状腺协会和学会合作；制定甲状腺手外科和疾病的公共信息和教育计划。
The main theme of APTS 2018 will be “Thyroid Surgery, Splendid, Safe and Sound”. Combining the previous knowledge and the newly developed technology, including molecular diagnoses, energy-based devices, intraoperative neuromonitoring, endoscopic and robotic surgery, and target therapy, we aim to improve the research, education, and clinical practice and thereby improve outcomes for our patients with thyroid diseases. It is believed that continued innovation and technical refinement, as well as change of treatment concept, will definitely make a difference in the outcome and living quality of our patients. It is certain that all topics will be included in the coming congress in the scientific program. A lot of unsolved problems and unmet clinical needs will also be our focus. It will be a great opportunity for everyone working with thyroid disease to share experiences and learn from each other.
